Lazio striker Ciro Immobile is reportedly the subject of a mammoth €70m offer from Chinese club Shanghai SIPG.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Shanghai – formerly coached by ex-Lazio boss Sven Goran Eriksson – are keen on bringing Immobile to the club in January.
Furthermore, they would have offered the 27-year-old a contract worth €6.5m a season – more than double the €3m he currently earns.
However, the newspaper adds Lazio have yet to respond to the offer, noting it is “almost impossible” for the Italy international to make such a move.
Immobile has been a revelation for the Aquile this season, already scoring 17 goals.
