James Rodriguez had been thought to favor a move to Chelsea after admitting that he could quite Real Madrid.

But Chelsea denies that they want to sign James Rodriguez. The club is currently at the top of the Premier League table. And the Blue feel that Rodriguez is overvalued at the £60million mark.

There are also fears of him not fitting in to the 3-4-3 system, a a system that has been proven effective since Antonio Conte’s  implementation.

They club had also just spent  £50m on flop Fernando Torres, and are unwilling to spend that amount of money on one player.

A move to Manchester United could still materialise in January, however. Jose Mourinho is still looking for his world-class No.10, to joing the ranks of Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
