Real Sociedad 1-1 Barcelona

Barcelona head into next week’s first El Clasico of the season six points behind leaders Real Madrid after failing to break Real Sociedad and scraping a draw.

Barcelona have now  failed to win their last two La Liga games, and have failed to win in their last eight games at Anoeta Stadium.  Which means that the club have not won a match in Anoeta Stadium since 2007.

Real Sociedad’s Da Silva started the scoring at the 53rd minute mark, and had the lead which lasted for only six minutes until Lionel Messi managed a goal of his own.

Real Sociedad are now fifth in the La liga standings, and Barcelona is barely holding it’s 2nd position with a 6 point difference with leaders Real Madrid.

Barcelona will host the first EL Classico of the season against Real Madrid at the Nou Camp next Saturday (15:15 GMT).
