Brazil players have made it clear they will not fear Argentina’s Lionel Messi when Brazuk and Argentina will face-off in a  high-profile World Cup qualifier on Thursday.

Argentina striker Lucas Pratto said that Brazil were frightened of  Messi by sayingL

“They know that Leo is very tough. They are a little scared, Or maybe more than a little.”

Which was denied by  Brazil captain Dani Alves by saying :

“There is no such thing as being scared in football. There is respect for Messi and for Argentina. And they feel the same about our players, our team,”

Douglas Costa also chimed in saying: “(Brazil) has to do what it has been doing — regardless of Argentina.”

However, Brazil defender Marquinhos added a note of caution about Messi, saying: “We have to be perfect. With the tiniest mistake, he can dribble, he can score.”
